Commitment to Social and Environmental Issues

Doing good together.

Many small parts make up a big whole—this is the philosophy that the Nautic Alliance lives by.

In the “People & Sea” section, we’d like to showcase the diverse initiatives and projects our members have launched to benefit the community and protect the environment.

Whether through targeted measures to protect the marine ecosystem or through social projects that support children, families, and those in need—every member of the Nautic Alliance is committed in their own way, thereby sending a strong message in support of sustainable and responsible action.

Here's how sailing can become even more eco-friendly...

Even small changes can make a big difference—if we all do our part!

Tips for Dealing with Trash on Board:

  • Waste reduction starts with your shopping: Look for eco-friendly packaging. Buy bulk packages instead of many individual packages.
  • Please avoid using plastic bags! Marine animals often mistake them for food. Incidentally, it takes 10 to 20 years for them to decompose—and harmful microplastics are released in the process.
  • Wash your dishes with eco-friendly dish soap and avoid using disposable plastic dishes, cups, and straws.
  • Please sort your onboard trash carefully! Please dispose of your sorted waste in the recycling bins provided at the harbor!
  • Make sure that packaging doesn't get blown overboard, and under no circumstances throw cigarette butts into the sea.
